A new fundraising campaign for TreeAction school’s projects via Crowdfunder and backed by the Aviva Community Fund will start on 10th August running initially for 4 weeks. The aim is to raise at least £5000, 40% of which will go towards funding two schools tree planting projects in the Adur & Worthing areas of West Sussex, namely Buckingham Park Primary School in Shoreham by Sea and Eastbrook Primary Academy in Southwick.

There are rewards on offer for donations ranging from £10 to £100 such as Tree Sponsorship with certificates of dedication and involvement in the tree planting events when they take place.
A leading arborist and expert Liam Lord has already been working on plans for Buckingham Park Primary School in consultation with the school and initial ideas include extending the existing woodland section and creating an orchard, as well including flowering species that will promote biodiversity. Liam will be visiting the Eastbrook Academy forest school site in September to discuss plans for this.
The remainder of the funds raise will go towards TreeAction’s growth plans, including the hire of a part time Trust Fundraiser to help raise more funds for more schools projects in the Sussex region.
