Saturday 22nd January was the first of monthly opportunities to get involved in planting new woodland trees ( e.g. Rowan , Birch and Wild Cherry ) as well as regular weeding and supporting young trees already planted in 2019 at three locations in the Adur Area. The locations are at Southwick Recreation Ground, Buckingham Park and Adur Recreation Ground. A mixture of ages, individuals, families and children turned up to the first event to get involved in mulching and planting some new saplings acquired from TCV or the Woodland Trust. The locations being planted were given permission to plant by Adur & Worthing Council who also supplied the mulch.

These will be free ticketed monthly events though a donation of £1 or more per person towards TreeAction UK CIC which supports tree planting in local schools is requested . The events run consecutively for around one and a half hours at each location starting 10am at Southwick Rec ( meeting outside Southwick Leisure Centre ) , 12pm at Buckingham Park ( meeting outside park cafe ) and 2pm Adur Rec ( meet in car park outside toilet block )
